#23: The Friend

Some guys just are lucky with women. Such as my best friend that I met back in seventh grade.

I met my best friend back in the seventh grade and he’s still my friend to this day. Since you’ll be hearing more about him in the coming entries, I think I oughta give him a nickname. I’m “The Virgin,” so we’ll call him “The Friend.” Creative, no?

The Friend and I started hanging out around the seventh grade when we met in one of our English classes. Back then he was hardly the most popular and best looking guy in school, appearing more like a dork with his glasses (which he eventually lost). But he had an outgoing and this trait would serve him well with women later in life.

The Friend was easily the ladies man our group in High School. There was just something about him that attracted women and no one could explain it. One time another friend of mine showed a girl he met on IM his picture, which had The Friend looking over his shoulder in the background with only his hair and eyes were visible, nothing else. She replied and immediately wanted to know who the guy was standing behind him and if she could get his contact information too. Amazing.

You can make all the cases in the world that women are attracted to body language, but that doesn’t explain a still photo with 94% of The Friend not visible.

    Hey V!
Thanks for stopping by my site and commenting! :)

Honestly…I don’t care what “they” say, there has to be some kind of intial physical attraction when you are looking at somone (photo or otherwise). Sure, it’s easy to fall for someone via the internet first, and THEN see them. At that point you’ve had time to get to know them and looks can matter a lot less.

But if it’s just a matter of seeing someone before you know them, then I totally admit that I have to find them physically attractive to want to get to know them better.

    Cheers!
